About the project:

When my dear friend Kate Gladdin lost her mum in a tragic traffic accident, she responded with a kind of courage that still leaves me in awe. Even in the midst of heartbreak, she set out to evolve her family’s foundation (originally created to honor her sister Nicole, who passed away in 2012) so it could carry forward both of their legacies.

Designing this website was my small way of standing beside her as she stepped into this profoundly meaningful work. It was a labor of love — it was my small way of being there for my friend. I’m deeply honored to have played even a tiny role in giving this beautiful legacy a home online.

THIS PROJECT INCLUDED:

• Creating a custom design felt aligned with the foundation’s existing logo

• Designing custom graphics so the site feels like a loving tribute to two beautiful souls

• Researching the best donation tool that streamlines the collection of donations AND works well in both the US and Australia

• Adjusting the mobile view so everything scales beautifully on various device sizes
