Each project has a baseline price with no additional services included. For example, a Foundation Site without any add-ons is $1800. But if you want to include other services in your project (such as branding, email campaign set-up, copy editing, etc.), your project quote will be adjusted to include those services.

It’s a pre-designed website that is move-in ready. You will supply your logo, color palette, copy, and photography — and I will set up your website. The beauty of a Foundation Site is that you get a professional website quickly, at an affordable price — PLUS — peace of mind that your site has been properly configured and optimized on the backend. I will take care of details such as:
compressing your photography for speedy page load time
optimizing your photos with keywords and metatags
setting page titles and descriptions for optimal indexing by search engines (basic SEO)
mobile quality check
configuring the regional/location settings on the backend of your site

Think of a template site like a cookie cutter. They’re designed for a wide range of businesses. A Foundation Site is more along the lines of a spec home that is ready for you to move into and make adjustments so it feels like your own.
-
No. If that is your preference, I recommend going with a template site solution from another provider. My clients are not DIYers and prefer having their site built by a professional.
-
This varies depending on the services included in your project. A Foundation Site without any add-ons can be set up in one week (if your content, photos, and branding are provided in your project folder).
A custom website project that includes add-ons like branding, copywriting, email campaign setup, and a done-for-you blog post template takes around eight weeks from the start of production to launch.
When I quote your project, I will include a detailed week-by-week timeline based on the services you’d like included.
-
This varies depending on your project. Foundation Sites without any add-ons can begin very quickly. Larger (custom) projects require in-depth prework and are usually scheduled a month in advance. This gives my clients plenty of time to complete their project worksheets and schedule a photoshoot (if they’d like). After our initial visit, I will send you a project quote that is customized with a detailed week-by-week project timeline.

Absolutely! Squarespace is mobile responsive, which means the pages automatically adjust to look fantastic on the viewer’s screen size. Prior to launching your website, the Simple & Soulful team will complete an in-depth quality check to ensure that all the pages look great on desktop, mobile, and everything in between!

Every site I launch comes with basic SEO which includes:
a streamlined user experience (viewers can easily navigate the site thanks to simple and intuitive content organization)
photo compression for speedy page load time
image optimization with keywords and metatags
strategic header tag hierarchy on all the pages
page titles, descriptions, and URL slugs for optimal indexing by search engines
mobile quality check
properly configured regional/location settings on the backend
sitewide favicon and mobile sharing image implementation

Basic SEO differs from advanced SEO in many ways. Advanced SEO encompasses in-depth keyword research, ongoing analytics tracking, perpetual content publishing, A/B testing, site adjustments, and many other technical implementations. Advanced SEO marries onsite strategies (ie. consistent content publishing) with offsite strategies (acquiring backlinks, marketing promotion, etc.) Your website will be launched with basic SEO best practices in place so if you choose to invest in advanced SEO in the future, you’ll have a strong foundation to build upon.

As a professional designer, I create branding and custom site mockups using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. If you hire me to design your branding, I am happy to upload your new logo files, fonts, and colors into your Canva Pro account. I will also provide a training video that covers Canva basics so you can start creating things like business cards, presentation slides, e-books, etc.
-
If you are a client of mine and want me to design things like business cards, leave-behind brochures, ebooks (and more!) I am happy to quote those projects for you. I will design your marketing pieces in your Canva Pro account — this way, the files will be easy for you to work with.

Squarespace is the perfect blend of form and function. It gives my clients the agility to move forward with their businesses without feeling intimidated about updating their site as their ideas evolve. The Squarespace platform is a marketing eco-system that has important integrations built-in, so you don’t need to juggle multiple systems for things like online booking, email marketing, commerce, events, and more. The learning curve with Squarespace is small compared to other platforms such as WordPress. It’s the perfect website tool for non-techy people.

For the first 30-days after your new site is launched, I provide FREE tech support. After that, if you need me for anything you can hire me in two ways: hourly or on retainer. I will provide information on those services at the time of project completion.

The first step is to schedule a free 30-minute call. Prior to our call, I’ll send you a meeting reminder along with a link to my video conference line. When we meet, I’ll listen carefully to your ideas. I’ll also ask a few clarifying questions around business friction you want to streamline. This will ensure that the quote I send after our conversation includes what’s necessary to move the needle from where you are now to the next level of business success. After reviewing your project quote, if you decide to work with me, you’ll make your downpayment and we’ll kick off your project 24 hours later! Project kick-off includes setting up your project files, sending you a project orientation video, and assigning specific project prework.
