About the project:
Amy started her site with a template purchased from Etsy. She’d updated it the best she could by adding content and graphics she’d created with Canva, but the result was a mish-mash design that felt cluttered and confusing. She wanted her website to feel modern, feminine, and unique but wasn’t sure how to pull everything together to create the vibe she was after. Additionally, she needed help focusing her message. Amy is an incredible coach and a great writer, but it’s often hard to strategize a clear message when we’re writing about our own services.
Amy had created an awesome collage graphic in Canva that was a keeper. She loved it and I did too — so I used that image as the design compass. With the design direction set, I stripped her template site to the bones so we could start fresh with a new color palette, new image style, new fonts…new everything! Then, I edited Amy’s message to be powerfully on point and strategically optimized.
AMY’S PROJECT INCLUDED:
Creating a custom design that is edgy, feminine, and professional
Strategizing the way the content flows for a more efficient user experience
Editing the copy into cohesive and concise sections
Suggesting headlines that are both resonant and SEO optimized
Updating the color palette to weave the whole brand together
Designing custom icons and graphics for the site
Setting up waitlists for her upcoming courses
Adjusting the mobile view so everything scales beautifully on various device sizes
Working with Amy was amazing. She knew what she wanted, and we had fun, collaborative sessions to bring her vision to life!
